Shamanic Poem

Transmutation

Sojourns of night,
starlit bright,
fill me
with your radiance!

Recall me to the fire,
light the sacred torches
and burn brightly,
lusciously and wisely,
colourshifting the dimensions
and across
to ultraviolet flames,
the red black glow
of nether spectrum
that was causing
so much terror,
froze the tiny feet
of young ones
at the thresholds
of their future.

Loud and alien the voices,
all around the hum of
monsters & machines
and only reverent
acceptance, deep respect
and steady calm
to resonate in this dimension,
to permit the transmutation
when it comes
prevents a screeching,
wailing, tumbling plummet
into hell.
