Turn around

I wish you would
enter the dream
and know it, from deep within
and recognise it,
well of course you do!

That's why your sadness,
that's why your loss,
you turned around
and turned your back
on that creation where
you knew the stars
by name.

But you can now remember
and you can know
that all is still
and waiting for you
silently,
with compassion
and with that enfolding
you have yearned for
in the arid dryness
of your days.
