Life Is Green

Life is green,
life is an ocean
where it may seem
that we are lost
and so immeasurably
small

We rise and flash,
we spark, we dream
and hope, aware
we are of our
insignificance
and that our time
is measured here

Some will weep
some try to forget,
they turn their eyes
away from starry
nights and oceans,
mountains old and cold,
they hide inside
in loneliness and fear

Yet we are here,
and if we choose,
we can proclaim
the majesty of
all, the wonderment,
the never ending
journey that is
so much larger
than we are,
it is a comfort,
and a blessing.
