Nicola's
Iguanodon
30.
12. 2001 Do you believe in animal
spirits? It doesn't matter if you do or not, here is a strange but
absolutely true story that happened in December 2001 and it involves a
dinosaur ...
This is a very strange but absolutely true story. Around
November/December 2001, we (Nicola, Silvia, Steve C. & others) were
having fun with the slogan: "For the love of God, Iguana!" which was
derived from a BDSM keyword designed to make it all stop in moments of
true fear, terror and crisis.
One day, Nicola was walking as usual on the
beach at Bexhill-On-Sea, somewhere where she had walked for a good 25
years a few times a week, when she noticed something on the ground that
looked very much like a perfect dinosaur footprint shaped in the hard
bedrock on the beach. It had never been there before, or rather, it must
have been covered with sand for all these years and had not become
revealed until that day in December.
Nicola contacted a local expert and we all
couldn't believe it that the footprint was attributed to a kind of
dinosaur that was very popular in the area 500 million years ago - and
it was called an Iguanadon!
So one clear midwinter afternoon when the
tide was out, we set out to see the dino footprint and shake hands
across the millennia.
Here are the photos from that day to
prove it really all happened just like that, as unlikely as it is. |
